The Herstory Of AMOE:
AMOE (Angel Moms On Earth) began as a simple project by its founder: Cathy. On September 22, 1998, Emails crossed between the project coordinator of a group called "The Garden House", and Cathy. The context of the Email was to get permission to post on the message board, to see if there were enough women who would be willing to adopt a child, not just for Christmas, but for the entire year. Being given the "go-ahead", it was. That was all it took. AMOE was born that very day. The ladies opened their hearts, sending Emails "Count me in" and "I want an angel".

From there the message was posted on other message boards, and yet still more message boards from these, until inside of a week AMOE had spread across the Internet. The primary purpose of AMOE, was then, and will always be, to bring happiness, a feeling of self worth, and hope to a child, who has little or nothing to look forward to. And to help to relieve the burden of the parent to give the child what the parent or guardian cannot afford. The little extras that most children take for granted.

AMOE knows no child's "religion", cannot see a child's "color", nor can it hear a child's "dialect", nor measure a child's "intelligence quota". Instead, it is reaching around the world to all children who need us, as much as we need them.

AMOE has no funding; it does not need it. There are no dues, and the only membership fee asked from Angel Moms who join, is "LOVE". Whatever is given an angel MUST come from the heart. And there are no bigger more loving hearts found in this world, than those of ANGEL MOMS.

And so it is that AMOE'S legacy, funding, membership dues, it's entire past and future is: LOVE.
